New Breed of Young Hawkers

In Clementi, the number of young people turning to food business is slowly gaining popularity. This is one of the ways that they are taking an effort to reach out to the younger people in this matured estate by reaching for their tummies !!

At Block 325 Kopi Tiam, we see Botak Jones anchoring the coffeeshop with large queues thronging to savour her juicy burgers and other tantalizing entrees. Recently, there was a new upmarket stall Ilpiccolo being introduced selling freshly made pizzas in the same coffeeshop. YUMMY !!!

Walking towards the police station, another group of young hawkers are seen selling Western Food at Block 380 coffeeshop, behind the police station before reaching Clementi Community Centre. The stall is known as Modern Grill.

How do you think of their food quality ? Share with us your experience.

Genesis of Clementi Blog

Welcome to the birth of this new blog, which will keep residents and public updated on the life in a small part of Singapore, known as Clementi. It is a new initiative which we hope would be an added avenue for information, initiation and involvement by our residents ... thats our tagline !!

To kickstart, Clementi CC is in the pipeline of forming a Chinese Orchestra group and so, if you would like to be part of the team, drop us a note. Alternatively, if you enjoy watching cross-talk and listening to Chinese Orchestra music over a cup of tea and peanuts, come and visit us on 24th May, at 7.30pm in Clementi CC for our Chinese Cultural Night. Tickets at $3.00 per person is really going fast !!

This blog is still in her infant stage, so do give it lots of Tender Luving Care for it to grow well.
